Back in the dim distant days of 2001, I launched a website called Cornish Images, spelt with a hyphen just as it reads in the present URL bar. I was training to be a nurse at that time so I was watching every penny, so when the opportunity came along to register a domain name for free I jumped at the chance!

Thus, in 2001 Cornish Images was launched, hosted by the company "Freenetname". One of the stipulations of this company was free internet access and domain name only if you agreed to dial into their system at least once a month (yep, before the days of Wi-Fi, these were the dial-up days). Anyway, time went by and I kept the website updated but looking back now, it was woefully amateur. Time moved on quickly, I qualified as a nurse and managed to get one of the first Wi-Fi deals from British Telecom (BT) but in doing so, I was unable to use the dial-up modem anymore. I didn't update the site, Freenetname withdrew my domain and within a couple of months it had been bought fairly by someone else.

Fast forward to 2024 and I'm doing a random search via my website provider webador. They host my main current domain - www.bulldogfive.co.uk  - and so I decided to search for Cornish Images - it was available once again!

So, Cornish Images is once again mine!

As time goes on, I intend to add pages on the Duchy of Cornwall, showing my photography from the last few decades. Although I now live in the Outer Hebrides, Cornwall will always be my home and I love both parts of the world, hopefully therefore I will also add pictures from my Hebridean adventures as well.
